Pirot district is on the South – East of serbia.It consists of:

Babusnica Municipality, town Babusnica

Dimitrovgrad Municipality, town Dimitrovgrad
It
has population of 116.926 people. The seat of the Municipality is in
Pirot.
Pirot is mentioned for the first time in II century
AD. Near Pirot there is a Church from the 13th century-
St. Petka’s Church and St. Jovan the Baptist Monastery from the end
of XIV century is an example of Serbian medieval architecture.
Zvonacka Spa’s healing water is a climate healing
sanatorium and it had been used in antic period, and the natural
beauties of this region are well known in whole
Serbia.
The oldest handicraft which is nowadays a branch of
industry is rug industry which made this district as a well known
place. The major number of Pirot Economy capacities is located in
the industry zone. Industries of rubber, shoemaking paint and
lacquer are also good developed here.
